Al Aan TV Channel


Al Aan TV is a Dubai based free to air Pan - Arab Satellite station that launched August 1st. It is owned by Tower Media and it is an infotainment channel based on factual information (news) and entertainment programs. The target is the Arab family with a skew towards a young female audience.

Programming is scheduled to address changing need states and audiences within the home. The content of our programs is to bring added value to the viewers while affecting their lives in a positive way and at all levels. We are showcasing original programming developed exclusively for Al Aan TV.

Abu Dhabi Sport TV Channel


Abu Dhabi Sports' mission is to transfer and put on the air the experience and athletics to the UAE and Arab
generations and is now free to our US subscribers! Enjoy national and international sports as covered by some of
the top reporters around the world!
The channel was established in 1996 and one of its significant roles was its exclusive and distinguished coverage of Italian league, that is considered as one of the best leagues in the world for six years from 1998 to 2003.

Dubai Sports TV Channel

Dubai Sports Channel’s programmes cover all sports and individual competitions that were neglected by the media so far. It concentrates on Local and Gulf events, and provides a balanced coverage of the sports events in each Arab country, without neglecting the international sports. Dubai Sports Channel also owns the rights for such international sports events like Dubai World Cup (Horse Racing), Dubai Open (Tennis) and the Speedboat Racing World Championship. Abu Dhabi Channel


Abu Dhabi Satellite channel is considered to be the first extension of the UAE Television from Abu Dhabi which began its transmission, in black and white, in August 1969 and in color in December 4, 1974.
On January 30, 2000, it was launched under its present name and in its current format and directed for Arab public in every part of the world.
Abu Dhabi Channel is directed towards the worldwide Arabic public, and now can be watched free by our US subscribers!

Abu Dhabi is a modern,progressive Pan Arab channel, and is considered one of the top five generic channels in the
Arab world, and offers programming from politics and social cultural shows, to entertainment,talk shows, and dramas.

Abu Dhabi channel can also be watched as part of the Arabian Gulf Package along with Abu Dhabi Sports, Emirates Channel, Al Rai and many more.

Dubai TV Channel

Dubai TV is a channel offered by the Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI). It replaced Emirates Dubai Television in June 2004. Dubai TV broadcasts programmes predominantly in Arabic. The programming caters to family Arab audience specifically in the Persian Gulf region and is available in Asia, Europe and North America. A majority of its programming is produced locally in Dubai Media City. Dubai TV is a part of a four channel network owned by DMI.

Sama Dubai TV Channel


Sama Dubai satellite channel available on Arabsat, Badr 4, Hotbird 7A, Nilesat 101, Telstar 10 (not confirmed). Programs include
Al Usra Al Asriya (The Modern Family) - about issues facing UAE, Gulf and Arab families in the modern day.
Alnajihat (The Successful) - the life of working Emirati women.
Dubai Almultaka or Al Multaka Dubai (Dubai Meeting) - what's happening in the city of Dubai
Freej - the excellent 3D animated series about 4 old ladies living in Dubai, named Um Allawi, Um Saeed, Um Saloom, and Um Khammas. Program is in Arabic but DVDs have English subtitles.

Dubai One TV Channel


On December 24th, 2004, Dubai's once venerable CH33 was shut down and replaced by a new channel bearing a new name, a new look and a new line-up of the best in English Language programming. Now branded "Dubai One”, the station is aimed at modern young Arabs who enjoy western-style programming, as well as English speaking expatriates. This free to air Nilesat/ Arabsat, digital/analogue and terrestrial station will have a sophisticated, cutting edge and progressive appeal and will offer powerfully entertaining and moving programs. Amazing dramas and blockbuster movies will dominate prime time with television's most popular series, sitcoms, reality, talk shows, and gossip news rounding up the rest of the grid to offer a unique variety of choices for all tastes. Dubai One will be carrying an amazing a line-up of 22 movies a week and some of the biggest box office titles such as "Harry Potter, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Austin Powers, Rush Hour and The X-Men, in addition to powerful award winning dramas, which include Deseprate Housewives, Boston Legal, CSI Miami, CSI New York and The Sopranos.

Television, Radio and Newspaper in Dubai

The UAE now boasts six satellite TV stations in addition to a number of other non-satellite TV stations. There are also more than seven radio stations throughout the seven emirates. The Emirates News Agency, WAM, provides news items and features related to daily events in the country for these radio and TV stations as well as local newspapers. This news is also broadcast to the outside world according to agreements signed with other international news agencies. In the field of publications, there are five Arabic and three English dailies in circulation in the country in addition to more than 160 magazines and journals published by local and national establishments, cultural centers, clubs, chambers of commerce and industry, municipalities and educational institutions
